Follow and Unfollow Agencies

Overview

The BLTN application allows you to follow agencies (departments) so you can stay up to date on their posts and activities. Following an agency ensures that their content appears in your customized feed, helping you track relevant information more efficiently.

This guide walks you through how to follow, view, and unfollow agencies from your BLTN dashboard.

Steps to Follow an Agency

1. Access the Filter Menu

• From the home screen, click Show Filters.
• Under Department, begin typing the name of the agency you want to follow.

2. Open the Agency Profile

• Click on the agency name when it appears in the search results.
• This opens the agency's profile page.

3. Follow the Agency

• Click the Follow button on the agency profile.
• Return to your home screen. The agency is now listed in your Following list.

4. Add Additional Agencies

• Repeat the steps above to search for and follow additional agencies.
• Each followed agency will appear in your Following list.

Steps to Unfollow an Agency

1. Locate the Agency in Your Following List

• From your home screen, view your Following section.
• Hover over the icon of the agency you wish to unfollow.

2. Open the Profile and Unfollow

• Click the agency icon to open their profile.
• Click Unfollow.
• Return to the home screen. The agency will be removed from your Following list.

Repeat these steps for any other agencies you'd like to unfollow.

Resetting Your Feed

• After adjusting your followed agencies, click Clear Filters.
• This resets your view to the standard For You feed.

If no agencies are followed, your Following list will appear empty.

• Following relevant agencies ensures you're up to date on posts from departments you collaborate with or monitor.
• Unfollow agencies as needed to keep your feed clean and focused.
• Use filters to quickly find and manage your agency interests.
